, the obama care website is a success. by their measure, why not? look at other government successes. the postal service, dmv, green jobs, war on drug, irs. obama care hit rock bottom in record time. it's a usain bolt, cash for clunkers. is it a success by their own claims? much like a one dimensional town in a "gunsmoke" episode is. signing up for obama care is like poking road kill with a stick. the only movement you see is from the stick. the security, the processing, everything is a joke. that's the back end. like mine after five days in the tropics, it ain't working. so, obama care's real success is showing the, private and profit standards. standards don't exist. failure unmeasured blossomed, requiring more bureau accuratcr disaster. with a loving media it's arsonists with publicists. democrats may fret. small, pointless battles help the media deflect from obama's hell. right now the president is monty hall and he just gave the right a brand new car. it's up to them to choose what's behind door number two instead. i feel like i'm working in one of those giants stadiums. do you

to get to including the obama care website up and running a lot better than it used to be. first stretches of new york's commuter rail line are closed this morning after a deadly train crash over the weekend. four people were killed. more than 60 injured. 11 in critical condition. early morning metro north commuter train traveling south from poughkeepsie to grand central station derailed in the bronx. 100 people were on the seven cars which came to a violent stop just short of a nearby river. the train was only about 12 miles away from its destination and many were dozing off when the cars tumbled off tracks. tom costello joins us live from the scene. is there any indication about the issue of speed playing a role in the crash? >> reporter: that's the big question this morning, mika, because most of the passengers who were on said this train of traveling at a very high clip and the governor said he thinks speed was a factor and the engineer has told several people he tried to apply the brakes but they didn't work. that's the train behind me. there are four cars there. you can see

the politics of supporting obama care and the ideological tension on the right, whether you should tax wealthy people to finance, subsidize poor people is going to come into conflict with constituent issues. should we be shuttering that don't help, trauma victims and so on. i can't imagine that the firewall is set at 24 states that refuse expansion. some of them are going to crumble. you definitely could see this kind of system that extends in perpetuity where a lot of places just kind of leave these 5 million people and others in the lurch. >> doctor, one last one before we go. when a hospital loses funding, cut back services, shut their doors, do people who go to the hospital, is the community aware of the dynamics here, why this is happening? are hospitals doing their part to help to educate people as far as what's going on with this? >> they are. they are working hard to let people know what the dynamic is. part of the debate has to be not just about hospitals and governors but the business communities in these places saying if we're going to be competitive, if we're doing to have a strong

. >>> the latest on the obama care website. white house now claims it has been fixed, working smoothly 90% of the time, but will consumers find that to be true. so much at stake for president obama and millions of americans seeking health insurance. and abc's jon karl has all of the latest from the white house. good morning, jon. >> reporter: the white house is not quite declaring mission accomplished. they say they've finally achieved their first goal, getting the website improved to the point where most people can use it to pick out health insurance. after two months of system crashes and error messages, the white house says healthcare.gov is working for the vast majority of people who try to use it. in a report filled with colorful charts and graphs. the white house uses to measure its success. some 400 software bugs and hardware problems have been fixed. the website can now handle 50,000 users at a time, 800,000 a day. it's now accessible 90% of the time, up from just 40% in october. the man in charge of the website reboot, gave his bottom line in a conference call with reporters. >>

obama care. here we are, a guy from minnesota who was really annoyed ant his service on the airline complained repeatedly. northwest booted him off the frequent flyer program. in america, what did he do? he sued. >> why did the court hear this? >> it involves serious complains about airlines a 1978 law says take that to the department of transportation. you can't file suits all over the country. juries in other states can't set policies. that's what northwest lawyers argued yesterday in saying if you've got a complaint take it to the department of transportation. don't file a lawsuit. >> this is fascinating that a rabbi that complained about the frequent flyer program, they booted him off. what does hit mean for the rest of us? >> i think the justice seems skeptical although sympathetic. we all complain about airlines. we don't complain that much. it won't have impact on much people. we go on twitter, talk to neighbors, don't file a lawsuit. it could give the airlines more power. >> jan, while we have you, what happened with alabama? >> oh. you know what i left t

time soon. >> pelley: michelle, thanks very much. in another important story tonight, the health care web site faced its first big test today since the obama administration said that it met its deadline to make healthcare.gov work smoothly for the vast majority of shoppers. trouble since the site's debut in october has cut into enrollments. we learned today that 100,000 signed up in november for a total of more than 206,000 so far, but that is a million short of the enrollees projected. wyatt andrews has been checking into the web site today. wyatt? >> reporter: scott, the administration says that 375,000 people tried to shop on healthcare.gov and that was before noon today. officials called that a strong sign of interest but, again, that high a number created some problems. when june miles-mays tried to sign up for obamacare at a miami health center, the web site put her on hold.
